G-Force Mecha Production Facility: Polar Zero One
Location: Antarctica
Management: Captain David Carver is the military overseer of the base, while Dr. Akira Asaguri heads up the research and design of the mechas.
Population: resident military personnel, engineers, and scientists. and the occasional penguin that wanders in to get warm.
Features: from the outside, all that can be seen are four massive double doors , each 100 meters high and 100 meters wide are cut into a large ice wall. in front of these doors is a large flat area that covers a ten kilometer square area. above each door is a control/observation box. the inside, however is a large, wide open space that is nearly a kilometer wide and half a kilometer deep. it is all enclosed by the icy walls of the glacier. in the main section are four hangar bays which are big enough to house kaiju sized mechs up to a hundred and twenty meters tall. a total of eight of these giant sized mechas can be under construction at once , two to each hangar bay. behind the hangar bays, even deeper in the ice are two large buildings built into the ice. one building has one face that is nearly completely comprised of windows that allow the workers inside to view the construction and activity in the hangars below. this building is the personnel building. it includes offices, quarters, and facilities for all personnel living on the base. the second building is solid walled. Polar-01 is self contained and self sufficient. all hydroponics and bio-engineered food production facilities, supplies, and waster disposal and containment systems are housed in this fully automated building. the whole base is protected by a cloaking field and designed to look like the ice it was built in. (Think Hoth base from star wars for the general feel of the place) it is powered by two massive fission reactors buried deep withing the ice beneath it.
