Antartica, Exactly Midnight
Even in a time of unparalleled globalization and technological advancement, man is always doomed to slavery to his environment. While most of the world is constantly monitored and by extension controlled by either men or Kaiju with illusions of grandure, there are (for those who look) places where one can dissapear... or appear seemingly at random. It's in such a place that he decided to appear.
Not a single creature looked to the sky to see the apparent meteor making a bee line for the ice caps, and oddly even the satellites observing the area seemed to blink when it happened. The impact was a spectacular sight, but not for the reasons one might expect. The flaming object came down with immense velocity, but it halted only a few inches above the snow... seemingly of it's own will. It was mottled black, and the snow beneath hissed when bits of debris fell from it. For a few seconds it just hovered in place, rotating slowly like a small moon. Then it stirred, shifting more quickly, but remaining just as silent. It's movements became somewhat akward as it began to reverse it's rotation and jerk about erratically. Then, he emerged from his cocoon.
Drycep's singed tail cracked as the soot and planar ash coating it broke apart, letting it unfurl, revealing his cold alien eyes a world much better off hidden from their stare. He glided sinuously above the ice, along miles of polar shelf until he reached the ocean. In a rare humble moment, he paused to examine the beauty of this new world. His staring eyes then focused and began to glow...
[glow=green,2,300]Yes, this is the place.[/glow]
The two lower plates of his arachnid face twitched slightly at a realization.
[glow=green,2,300]Ah yes...[/glow]
At that the creature began to move out over the deep blue ocean, his body language just as controlled and patient as before.
[glow=green,2,300]Time to begin.[/glow]
