During the reign of Sirrush's power over the Babylonia, a war was waged between the followers of Sirrush and the emerging power of Eygpt. This conflict was fought by massive armies as well as by skirmishes between competing warriors of great skill. Eygpt's champion was a warrior called Rameses also known as the Blade of Ra. He slaughtered many of Sirrush's warriors and led Eygpt armies in victory after victory, cutting down some of Sirrush's greatest champions as it pushed into the realm under his sway.
Sirrush was troubled by this development and called for Faer and a collection of Sirrush's high priest's and warriors to come forth. He commanded that an artifact be made to bring down Rameses and remove this nuisance from the war, that a mask be constructed that would give its bearer the appearance of whomever they wished. Over the course of several days and nights, Faer using his own magics and enchantments to poured the energies of the priests into a mask crafted by the smiths of Babylon. Once completed the mask was donned by Faer and the Lich was transformed into Rameses himself.
Using the disguise Faer went to Egypt was Rameses was away fighting and pretended to be the champion. Faer spent months behind enemy lines to weaken the Egyptian war effort, ruin its crops and destroy any other threats to Sirrush. Rameses returned to Egypt and rather then be welcomed as a hero, was butchered for the crimes Faer had committed.
The Mask of Deciet was used by many followers of Sirrush over the course of his reign until the battle which sealed him beneath the ice where it was lost.
