Okay, Trent pointed out some interesting facts to me, and I'm addressing them now.
First off, this is 2154. Not 2054. Twenty-ONE Fifty-Four.
Like I've made mention of several times before, the future is NOW.
Some of you don't seem to be grasping that. I've already noticed a couple of you are audacious enough to think you can fight in cities, actually destroy them.
To that effect, Las Vegas was NOT destroyed. Neither is any other city in such a purported state. They were devastated, maybe. But they're still there. The buildings have literally grown back by now, and it's like nothing has ever happened. Sorry if you wasted your time.
You also don't seem to realize that you can DIE from being attacked by the human defenders. After all, they're only human, right? Yes. And we can and will kill anything that threatens us. Including Kaiju. If you are in a city for any long amount of time, an admin will come around and start chucking human defenders at you that will come in every variety from Skittle Blaster to Holyf*cking Deathbot. Taste the rainbow, guys. It's a whole new spectrum of pain.
And some of these things won't even have sheets you can look up. Yes, there's that many of them. Because you're not supposed to fight them. You're not expected to win. You're expected to high-tail it out of the city, literally getting the heck out of dodge.
As for cities themselves, they no longer resemble what we have now. Think Gotham from "Batman Beyond" and you'll have a pretty good start. They are massive. They make Kaiju look like toddlers. And the buildings that take damage will heal, sometimes right before yer very eyes. And then they'll shoot at you.
Because this is a world that grew up with Kaiju as a commonplace occurance. It knows how to defend itself and even kill the Kaiju if neccesary. They won't go bothering you, but of you poke the bear, expect to get mauled.
I'm not trying to be unfair. I'm merely emphasizing a point I've been trying to make, repeating over and over, since Day 1. Don't blame me if you hadn't grasped the gravity of the implications. Blame yourselves for not taking it seriously, or asking the proper questions to clear things up.
