Brutalis watched with a grin as the small village went up in flames. The third one tonight, not bad at all. His troops, Faer's minions, zombies shambled out of the village, dragging with them more corpses of those they had slain. They too soon rose and fell in rank behind Brutalis. He looked over his army, growing in number with every attack. If Lord Sirrush wished to take Rome, then he would require a massive army. Brutalis was up to the challenge of making it.
"Onward!" he barked, as the army of the undead began to shamble off into the night, seeking more innocents...

Around 50 meters away from the undead mass a pool of shining liquid had formed, and began growing outward.

The zombies continued to march, but it was Brutalis that noticed the odd pool of liquid.
"Hold!" he shouted, throwing a hand up in a stopping motion. The legion of the undead stood in place, swaying slightly. Brutalis peered towards the liquid, his skeletal hand on the hilt of his sword.

The silver pool stopped growing, and then began to dimish in size as a two legs, then the rest of the Shrike's body, grew from it. The golem then stood there in a statuesque manner in front of army.

Brutalis gazed up at the beast. The army behind him did nothing aside from the occasional moan, their non-existant attention spans not on the kaiju. Brutalis took a step forward, and shouted to the kaiju.
"Move aside, beast. We shall raze the cities of man, and no one will stand in our way."

Shrike did not register the human's words. It only heard the planet's orders.
"For us to live...they all must die." the command echoed in its consciousness. It began to walk towards the army, shaking the ground as it stepped.

Brutalis stood his ground. Some of the zombies fell over from the force of the kaiju.
"Yes, they will all die, I am making quite sure of that. Perhaps you could assist our lord Sirrush and master Faer..."

In the Shrke's mind, Brutalis's words were drowned out by the echoing command from his leader Human and Kaiju, all are a blight to the earth. For us to live...they all must die.
Shrike hollowed out a bit of his chest, transferring the metal from his legs and into the ground. Suddenly, the small spikes shot up from the ground, impaling nearby undead.

High above a black shadow began to grow and grow as Sirrush began his decent. The dragon's wounds had almost healed from the battle earlier but the sting of defeat was still present in his mind.
Looking down he spotted the undead army and the metal monster atacking them, Sirrush was in no mood to mess around. The dragon swooped down before Shrike and blasted it with a stream of fire at the creatures chest.

Brutalis dove and rolled, avoiding the nearby spikes that impaled a part of his battalion.
"Fall back!" he ordered, the zombies shuffling back out of the battle area, those that were impaled unimpaled themselves and moved as best they could back. Brutalis stood atop a rock, watching the kaiju, waiting for his chance...

Sirrush was foolish to swoop down, thus giving his enemy warning of an incoming attack. The metal that had already been set beneath the ground shot out completely, forming a sheild wall which stopped the fiery blast. The wall then retreated back into Shrike's body.
