Sparta, Greece. 12:00 PM.
The people of Sparta knew of the recent Kaiju plague that has erupted around the globe. They also knew that their city lacked the major defenses of other cities that would keep invading kaiju out, thus making them a target. But the people of Sparta were not worried as they continued their days, running errands, working, playing with their children. One would only wonder for a short time why they were so indifferent in the face of such danger, as the answer was glaringly obvious.
Atop a nearby mountain, an enormous human figure gazed down upon the city, arms crossed, enormous crimson cape billowing lightly in the wind. Arterus, as the people called him, was the protector of all Greece...though he always considered Sparta his home. Which, it was, seeing that he was essentially the reincarnation of the cities ancient king Leonidas I. Every now and again children would look up at him and wave gleefully, as their mother followed their children's gaze and smiled. Occasionally Arterus would betray his statue-esque nature by nodding lightly in the children's direction, though his gaze always returned to the horizon, ever ready to protect the land and people that he loved.

A few kilometers out of Sparta, by the coastline Azil appeared in a puff of smoke. The shadowy creature scanned the area, finally seeing the city. He began to approach slowly to get a better look at the city, which amazed him like all other human creations, not knowing of the wary giant guarding the place.

OOC: question: Why does their city lack defenses?

((It dosen't completely lack defenses, but it's only the ginat metropolis' that have the giant defenses.))
As Azil reached the edge of the city, outside of the main anti-kaiju defenses, a giant spear slammed into the ground, just in front of him.

Azil instinctively teleported backwards a hundred meters. His eyes were drawn off of the interesting humans and began looking for where the object had come from.

Arterus had already begun making his way towards the new kaiju, carefully walking only across the mountain range and not entering the city itself. He walked almost casually, carrying his shield over his left hand and arm. When he reached the spear, he grabbd it with his right hand and pulled it out of the ground, pointing it at Azil.
"You will not bring harm to my people."

Azil backed up a bit more, then, in a sort of struggle to speak, hissed his reply.
"I do not hurt the human. I need the human."

Arterus lowed the spear, and slammed it into the ground, upright.
"And how do you 'need the human'?"

"Humans feel things. I stay alive as long as humans feel things. They feel and give me energy." He answered, trying to get his meaning across even through his bad communication skills.

Arterus looked the creature over.
"So you mean to feed off the humans."

"I..do not understand." Azil replied, not getting the meaning of the Spartan's words.

Arterus pulled the spear from the ground, spinning it into position over his shield as he took a protective stance behind it.
"As I have said, you will not bring harm to my people. Leave this place, or prepare to meet your end."

Azil backed up more.
"I..do not..harm humans." He said

Arterus lowered the spear slightly as he summed up the creature. It's non-confrontational nature confused him, as all of the marauding Kaiju he had handled in the past seemed all to eager to do battle.
"If I were to let you into my city...what would you do?"

Azil looked a little confused for a moment as it worked out the words in it's head.
"Humans are interesting. Human...feelings are interesting. I help humans." he said, even though it didn't exactly answer the question
