These rules involve anything done in the Playing Field.
Game Rules
1) You may kill another player's Kaiju only if the following criteria is met: You have issued one fair and clear OOC warning ahead of time of your intention, and the opposing player responds and acknowledges the warning; If the Kaiju you are fighting is obviously out of it's league in terms of size, power, and ability; If, after the warning has been issued, the Kaiju still chooses not to flee the fight.
2) Crippling or knocking out another Kaiju works in a manner similar to killing another Kaiju, though can be much easier to pull off in effect and is the prefferable method to winning a fight where you seriously outclass your opponent (an example being that it would be relatively easy for an Intermediate or Advanced Kaiju to knock out a Basic Kaiju, but difficult or even impossible vice versa).
3) You cannot have your characters in two or more places at once. If you must do so for story purposes, consult the staff first.
4) You cannot have your character use any powers that are not shown in some way on the character's sheet. If you must do so for story purposes, consult the staff first.
5) You cannot control any characters other than your own, minion-type characters, or special event characters made simply for the story(example: your Kaiju chasing a smaller Kaiju for the intent of consuming it in short order).
6) You must add a setting to the beginning of every new thread's first post. This means location and time.
7) If your grammar is terrible, you must spell-check your posts.
8) If you are fighting in a city for any amount of time, an administrator will soon arrive and attack you with human-based defenders. This will ususally happen by the end of the first page (post #15), or after 10-15 minutes game fight-time have passed.
Character Rules
1) Starting Kaiju character slots is 3. Players may create as many lesser characters, such as Humanoids, Vehicles, and Tech, as they see fit (on that note, though, do not create so many that you can't keep track of them, or so many that it annoys the staff).
2) Players may gain an additional Kaiju Character slot at the following post counts: 100, 150, 250, 325.
3) Players may only create Basic Kaiju at the beggining of the game (see Creation Rules for details). The progression of advancement is as follows:
Intermediate Kaiju- 250 posts
Advanced Kaiju- 400
4) No crossovers to other genres allowed.
5) During the approval process, if the head administrator (Goji) tells you that somthing must be changed, it must be changed. This is really common sense, but it's being put here to prevent pointless arguments.
