Sidney stayed put.
"I stopped caring about that a long time ago. Anyway, why should you care?"

"Why not?" He picked up all his books, and got up, looking back at Sidney.

She shrugged. "Cause. Nobody else did."

Trent smiled.
"They are missing out."

She looked incredulous.
"On what?"

"On getting to know you." He gave a respectful bow.
"Be seeing you."
He headed back to his room.

"Heh," Sidney huffed as Tent left. She too went back into her room, closing the door. She took off her clothes and threw them on top of a large pile, leaving her in a tank top and panties as she opened a cabinet door, pulling out a bag of chips. Sidney layed down on her bed and turned on the flatscreen, zoning out as she watched whatever was on at the moment.

Meanwhile, Trent busied himself on the computer. He seemed to be accessing the town's transit systems...

Next day...
This is your six o'clock wakeup call. Good morning Sidney Walker, blurted an electronic voice. In the darkness Sidney moaned where she was. Bits of chips were all over her, the crumbled bag lying on the floor. She shifted again, stretching her arms out before getting up. She pulled out a new set of clothes from a nearby wallmounted container, slipping them on. She grabbed her billfold and portable phone, when said phone rang.
"Hello," Sidney answered in a rather drull, still sleepy voice.
"Sidney this is Bower," came a gruff, authoritarian sounding voice. One could guess it was her boss. "Somebody hacked the transit routes for today last night and screwed 'em up. Because of that, your day's been canceled."
"Oh yeah?" She didn't sound happy.
"Yeah. Guess you and the others got lucky."
"Whatever."
He hung up. She huffed in annoyance, setting the phone back down before leaning against her door.
"Great," Sidney said.

Sidney could hear the shower from Trent's room blaring up, a testament to the quality of the walls.

She looked in the general direction of the sound, and sighed. "A whole day to myself. And its not even the weekend yet. Joy."
Sidney listened to Trent's showering for a bit, before deciding she herself could use one. A minute later, she had undressed and turned it on, bathing in what amounted to be lukewarm water.
A few minutes later...
Sidney stepped out, wearing a towel around herself. She flopped onto her bed. She looked at the bag of chips that hadn't been put away. "Guess I'll do groceries early," she said to herself. Sidney slipped on the clothes she had taken off earlier, grabbed the cellphone, keys, and billfold, and opened the door. Closing and locking it, Sidney walked down the hall, passing Trent's room.

The door to Trent's room opened and he came out, seeing Sidney pass him.
"Good morning." He said with a smile. He had a regular long-sleeve shirt on and an eyepatch over his right eye.

She paused after walking a few feet ahead. Sidney cast a sidelong glance at Trent.
"Morning," she said, before resuming her walk.
