Dutch Harbor, Unalaska Island, Alaskan Aleutian Islands...
The winter crab season was over, though other forms of fishing continued. The area had become famous in the early 2000's due to the t.v. show Deadliest Catch. While the show had long been off the air, it was still known and one of the areas claims to fame.
A boat made it's way out the the harbor before comming to a sudden, lurching stop.
"What the fuck just happened?" yelled the captain
"We must have hit something, I'll lower an ROV and check for damage." replied the first mate.
Before the man could carry out his orders, several transparent, gelatinous tentacles rose from the water and started pulling men over board. One appeared in front of the glass window on the bridge. The captain pulled a handgun from his pocket and prepared to fire, but the tentacle was quicker, smashing through the glass and pulling the now bleeding captain out and into the water. Moments later, the ship mysteriously exploded. With the fishermen digesting in digestive vacuols, Proteus made his way toward the shorline. The hunters would now be the hunted.

People ran as Proteus emerged from the icy waters of the Bering sea. The amoeba quickly overtook a salmon cannery, still full of people. The muffled cries of people could be heard as Ptoteus's gelatinious body invaded the structure and began to consume it's occupants.

Finishing the last humans in the cannery, Proteus demolished the structure, and moved onto to a warehouse. Once more the hungry amoeboid feasted on human flesh.

From under the surface of the bay waters erupted a storm of surface-to-surface missiles, which screamed through the air on green thrusters and streaked towards the gelatinous threat. Rising from the waters were two shark-like submarines, their noses glowing as weapons were brought online.

OOC: Er.. if he's right, shouldn't yuo change it?
A few miles from the city, a collection of smoke erupted in a flash of light and a sonic boom, and the creature MM appeared, looking to its left and right frantically before setting its eyes ahead. From its vantage point it could see the beginnings of chaos at the bay. Its four eyes widened, then narrowed, as it clenched its fists and started to rush towards the harbor.

OOC: Technically, we're both right. A surface-to-surface missile fired from a sub is generally known as a ballistic missile, of the variety that rises up in the air in an arc and then comes down on it's target. But again, technicalities. I went for the gusto. He's just going for an easy post, lol. Now, go get that awfull ameboid!

The missils exploded, scorching Proetus's flesh and damaging the warehouse it was feeding from. Reforming it's body, it took on a humoid form. Gazinf at the two vessels, it opened fire with it's plasma beam. It's feeding would not be interupted.
[OOC: I'm planing this as a last stand of sorts for Proteus becuase I really have no direction for him.]

The plasma beam hit a completely different target as MM lept into the way of the blast, his body enveloped in a mass explosion as he dropped to the ground in a smoking heap. He struggled up from his knees as he warily eyed the monster before him.

Proteus charged the newcomer, forming a long blade on his "head", intending to ram it into MM's chest.

MM shuffled out of the way, batting the blade to the side to let Proteus charge past him. He didn't feel comfortable just tackling the foe, however, given its amorphous form. MM looked around as he kept his distance, hoping he could find something of use...

More missiles rained on Proteus, as the sub crews by now had solidly determined the amorphoid Kaiju as the threat, buying their mysterious ally time to strategize. After all, he was in a warehouse and docking district. Something should be laying around.....

Proteus dove into the water and took on a shark like form. He chose the nearest submarine and began firing his plasma beam at it's hull.

The incoming plasma beam struck square against the shark-like sub's energy shield, causing the azure tint of the hexagonal-grided structure to glow and gradiate towards an agry red. In response, the sub returned fire with stabbing laser beams and pulses of plasma fire. The other sub let loose a one-two flight of high-yield torpeados.
