The top of the head and upper jaw are red, with various red highlights on the knees and such. The torso armor and the wrist units are blue, with additional blue armor plating on the legs and such. The rest is the silvery metallic color of the Heisei Mechagodzilla.
Combat Style: Mid-close range. Although possessed of powerful ranged weapons, Riptide is uniquely suited for close-to-mid range combat. the pilot typically alters tactics based on preliminary target information. For example, against foes that appear to be grounded and lack significant ranged weaponry, Riptide's pilot will fight from the air with ranged attacks. Against foes with powerful ranged attacks, but lacking in the melee department, the pilot will close in and melee the target to death.

Weaknesses: Standard Mecha weaknesses, such as weakness against EMP and sonic disruptions. Also, the use of dual fusion reactors in Riptide, while providing exceptional output, means that the machine must be running at high temperatures on a regular basis. Freezer attacks of any degree, particularly concentrated ones, cause extensive power failures in the machine until temperature can be normalized. Riptide is not effected by this if fighting in a vaccuum or in a place like Antarctica however. Also, the NXT-1 sheath can be easily penetrating by powerful and on point piercing strikes.
Superstructure Type: TiTun2 Titanium/Tungsten Alloy. Both lightweight and reasonably durable, accounting for Riptide's realtively low mass when compared to other mechs. Has an exceptionally high melting point of 4500 degrees, thanks to the Tungsten in the alloy.
Armor Type: TiTun2 interior chassis with NXT-1 Synthetic Diamond armor coating. The NXT is based somewhat off the Heisei Mechagodzilla's design, but uses an experimental higher density chain of carbon atoms for enhanced strength and toughness, as well as hardness comparable to normal diamonds. The NXT-1 covers most all of Riptide's exterior (areas around joints and the engines lack this coating). The current version of the armor is used to deflect energy from electrical, plasmatic, and heat based weaponry by as much as 60%, although further improvements in the design are expected. The TiTun2 undercoating also acts as a radiation barrier to protect the pilot from the harmful effects of radition, both cosmic and otherwise. The NXT-1 is also heavily resistant to slashing and blunt trauma.
Average Operating Time: Can operate almost indefinately under most circumstances. However, on 80% operational capacity or higher, Riptide can only remain active for a period of 2 hours or less, depending on just how much energy is being drained.
Flight System: Advanced Output Booster Engines- Basic four booster assembly on the back between the wings and shoulder cannons, with additional verniers built into the backs of the thighs and calves. Riptide's flight systems allow the machine to fly at Mach 2, but also allow it to however around the battlefield at 250 kph with great mobility.
Sensors: Satellite link-up for advanced holographic tactical display of the battlefield, as well as recieving real-time updates on the current situation, with redundant Class I sensor arrays in the event the satellite link is broken.

ICEPAC- A combination of particle accelerators and plasma technology, it fires a beam of super-charged electrons at the target. The beam takes on an electric blue color, similar to Godzilla's thermonuclear ray. No charge time is required. The beam is also very hot and can be charged longer for additional power. Also, the cannon can be fired in conjunction with the ANECs for a Triple Strike attack. ICEPAC stands for Ionically Charged Electric Particle Accelerator Cannon This weapon is fired from Riptide's mouth.
Shoulder Mounted ANEC Is- Augmented Nuclear Energy Cannons. Riptide's shoulder mounted guns fired streams of thermonuclear energy derived directly from Riptide's reactors. Uses a similar method of ionzation as Godzilla's beam for charging. Each use requires roughly 3 seconds of charge time. Most of the damage is derived from the heat generated by the attack, but unshielded mechs and kaiju can also be affected by the radiaation generated by this attack.
Electroshock Anchors- An old favorite, these weapons fire diamond-tipped harpoons at high speeds from the underside of Riptide's wrists. The cables attached to them have medium range for effectiveness. Once the harpoon tip has imbedded itself int he foe's hide, it expands numerous barbs to hold itself in place as 3 million volts of electricity are pumped into the target. The ESA has a built in surge protector to prevent a backflow of energy into Riptide, and the harpoons can be retracted at any time for later use.
Missiles- XMAA Mk. II "Firefly" missiles- Standard warheads with moderate range and decent tracking abilities. Riptide can fire these in bursts of eight from ports around the core crystal. Riptide carries a complement of 240 such missiles. They are not very powerful, and are primarily used to distract a foe or herd them to a different location.
Delta Blades- The blades on Riptide's wrist units are composed of Titun2 alloys coated with NXT-1. They can penetrate most low level armor and hides with ease, but are less effective on kaiju with regeneration, as they cut clean and do not cauterize after use.
Misc:
Life Support Systems- Riptide's cockpit is shielded against the ravages of space, allowing the machine to travel for periods of 24 hours at a time. Carries back-up air supplies.
AI System- limited in its capacity, it handles the functions normally performed by crew members, such as system diagnostics, weapons firing and targeting, and the like. Has a rather bland female personality, but is not overtly cold, just efficient.
Comm System- Infra-red communications based link directly to CEEHQ. Can also do satellite link-up to contact command.
Escape Pod- Jettisons the cockpit area in its entirety, preserving the AI and pilot both for later use.
Production History: A CEE design, based on the Mechagodzilla line of mechs. It is a one of a kind design, meaning that no Riptide MP models are expected, and is CEE's first forray into anti-kaiju mecha.
