Name: Gigan
Type: Cyborg Mecha
Class: Basic
Stats:
HT: 120 meters
WT: 200,000 tons
Average Landspeed: 650 kph
Average Airspeed: Mach 6
Territory: None - Gigan's sole purpose on Earth is the planet's obliteration, and being kept alive artificially he does not need to fulfill such base needs as food or shelter.
Base of Operations: An unmanned and highly advanced facility located on the edge of the solar system has the sole purpose of maintaining and rearming Gigan in between missions. While unmanned, the station is compatible with the average humanoid races, though the identity of Gigan's current benefactors are not known.
Description:
Combat Style:
Strong Stats: Strength, Speed, Special
Weak Stats: Constitution, Intelligence
Weaknesses: Certain portions of Gigan's body are particularly prone to piercing attacks, as they are regions of melded flesh from non-Giganoid sources. Gigan must be retained in stasis periodically to prevent failure of biological components. Like other mecha, Gigan is susceptible to electromagnetic pulses.
Lastly, and most disturbing of all, is Gigan's inability to think for himself any longer. Due to the drastic measures taken to revive Gigan, his mind was shattered by being pulled from oblivion. Motor controls are handled by brain implants, and instructions are downloaded by his vessel, but deep within the remnants of the cerebellum is the true mind of the old cyborg, insane and beyond comprehension of his fate. The lights are on, but no one is upstairs, and in some instances his response time suffers for it.
Superstructure: Giganoid and other biological material, with natural armaments
Armor: Space Titanium
Average Operating Time: 24 hours with conservative use of energy, 14 in combat situations and only one when excessively kept in stealth mode.
Flight System: Anti-gravity generators located within central, now artificial rear sail. Hip thrusters boost airspeed and movement, whether in air or on the ground, in short spurts. The other sails were not salvaged from Gigan Mark Two.
Sensors: Gigan's enhanced cranial visor is an all-purpose sensor, capable of detecting visuals in multiple spectrums, the most minute shift in temperature or vibration, as well as conventional eyesight. Scent and sound modules are present but not enhanced beyond the natural spectrum of a Giganoid or other standard kaiju.
Weapons and Defenses:
Energy Saber - Gigan's weapon of choice and most similar to the trademark weapons of old. As a replacement for Mark Three's left arm, a new system was installed capable of generating a "claw" of solid energy that both cuts and sears flesh on contact.
Circular Saw - A weapon inspired by the newer chainsaw aesthetic, this saw is made of reinforced space titanium and can spin up to 10,000 revolutions per second.
Cluster Beam - Located in Mark Three's cranium, the cluster beam launches a barrage of small, explosive energy blasts to cause widespread but unfocused damage from a short distance.
Shoulder Harpoons - Concealed within Gigan's shoulder armor, four on each shoulder, these piercing weapons have a range of 100 meters, linked to Gigan's body by more reinforced space titanium. Any harpoon can immediately be disconnected by will, or retracted to pull in impaled foes.
Chest Vibro-Saw - This weapon was one of the few portions of Gigan's body left intact after his death. It remains a potent weapon, often a weapon of last resort - or finisher - due to the close proximity required and less efficient means of cutting.
Stealth Generator - Mark Three possesses an elaborate network of holographic and phase generators that not only render Gigan invisible to detection but to the naked eye when activated. However, this system requires extensive devotion of Gigan's power supply.
Production History: WIP, but be afraid... in the meantime, accepting any useful feedback.
