At that moment, Jormungand lunged, his fangs eager to pump deadly venom into Froria's system.

Froria heard Daegre's warning and spun away, her mind blaring with danger as she sensed the serpent's intent almost too late. Fear and anger crashed in her mind, and in following in her instincts, she lashed out, a immense wave of telekinetic energy blasting towards the beast, the waters parting almost instantaneously in it's wake.

Jormungand's reaction was similar to that of a garden snake in a hurricane. Caught completely off gaurd, Jormungand flew helplessly into the ocean, letting out a loud groan as the parted waters failed to cushion his landing. The serpent's primitive mind place Froria at the top of his list of opponents to avoid.

Godzilla turned his head, seeing the serpent slithering up behind the unsuspecting Froria. A snarl came to his face as his dorsal spines began to alight. He was taken by surprise as Froria blasted the serpent into the water, but then let the beam loose, cutting a path close enough to Froria that she could feel the intense heat as it hurtled past her and towardsthe fallen Jormungander.

Along the distant horizon the dot of an incoming craft could be seen simmering in the sunlight, speedly growing closer and closer to the gather kaiju...

Jormungand got back on his stomach, and turned back to his targets to get a burst of radioactive heat in the face. Once again, the ancient Kaiju was blasted backwards, disappearing beneath the waves.

With Jormugand out of the way, Daegre turned his attention to Godzilla.

After grunting in satisfaction, Godzilla turned back to Daegre.
"I thought you were dead. What happened?"

I came back. Daegre answered bluntly.

Godzilla simply stared at him for a moment. He said it as if it was nothing.
"I see... Bahamut tells me we are on the verge of another war, one worse than the first that claimed my father. So tell me, old friend, what are we to do about this?"

What we've done in the past.. what is expected of us. Stop any threat to the planet.

Godzilla grunted.
"This world is far different from the world I grew up in, the world you and my father defended. Why then should we protect it?"

Because it is a better world.
Daegre looked out to sea.
For the first time men and monsters coexist without strife or struggle, something I never imagined would happen.
He turned to Godzilla.
And it is worth defending.

"Yet they still try and kill us if we come anywhere near their territory... Well then, old friend, I will follow your example. You survived the first war for a reason, after all."
