It is really his Egyptian background, with the Nile and all. And I'm sure the first place you would head was water after being trapped in the sun...

that first reason would work if you incorporated it into EVERYTHING about the environment of Egypt, not just water.
The second reason has nothing to do with gaining an ability to regenerate in water.
The only thing I am seeing in Water Regeneration is that it ties this creature to the water in the way Lugia is.
Just ot be clear: You cannot play a kaiju version of Lugia.

I did that a few edits back, now all it says is he became his strongest form to allow him to seal SR away.

He USED the form in order to create himself into the seal the locked Shadow Roc away.
P.S. There IS a king of the gods (name escapes me) that is beyond Ra. Ra is just more popular.

The name escapes you? You're gonna have to come up with something better than that.
There is no need for Ra to transform into something else to make a seal. He can make a seal by snapping his fingers if he so chose.

Does it really matter? It's just so it's clear Ra sacrificed himself. He turned himself into the seal to keep Shadow Roc inside the sun, he didn't have enough power to put him down or lock him up normally. So, yeah... I hope you get the picture.

Oh, I do now.
I didn't see it that Ra actually SACRAFICED himself because he wasn't strong enough to defeat Shadow Roc.
Now, you have it much harder, i'm afraid.
I have a VERY hard time believing that a man who was given wings to fly with his lover would procure the power to defeat one of the creators of the universe out of nowhere.
So? Where'd he get this power, and what happened to this power? Because you seriously can't be suggesting that any averag kaiju(like Shadow Roc's sheet) can kill RA.

Well, here is how I explain it:
Naturally, Roc wasn't very powerful. The evil power that turned him into Shadow Roc granted him enough power to kill a (meaning one) god. After technically killing Ra and being sealed away, Shadow Ra weakened to even weaker then Normal Ra, but still retains the body.

you didn't explain what gave him the power.

But your story makes no sense!
How am I suppose dto believe that this 'secret' is a credible reason to give the monster the power to destroy a CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE??
